Poker boom might start up again in the states.

Representative Barney Frank’s proposed bill, H.R. 2267 – the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act, just passed the House Finance Committee by a vote of 41-22.

According to the PPA, the bill establishes the licensing and regulatory framework for the U.S. to exercise control and oversight over Internet poker and other forms of Internet gaming.

Here is an interesting thought.  When they turn on the flood gates again and all the casual players get re-exposed to a breed of online player that has evolved in some dry online games for the last 3 years.  Will it still be fun for them or will the slaughter be so fast and violent that it turns them off?

About 2 years ago when all the money really dried up online these players turned their eyes to live games as a way to make up the money.  Kids use to playing 1-2 online were jumping into a 2-5 live game were ripping the local live players a new one.  These locals use to come in and not mind loosing 300 hundred over 5 hours and having a little fun.  But when one of these kids seriously outclassed them in less than 1 hour and rubbed their face in a few big bluffs they stopped coming back.

Little worried this may now happen online.
