Low limit Omaha High / Low in Manteca

I was waiting for a no limit game to start up at a local card room in Manteca when a seat opened up at the 4-8 limit Omaha H/L 8 game and the manager convinced me to sit in it while I waited. Normally I do not like low limit games because the rake / dealer tip makes it such that people have to make around 50 mistakes per hour just to cover it. Up to this point I had not seen a lot of games were that was happening and did not think it worth my time; but I was needing action and had not played this game in a while.
Within a round I realized that beating the rake was not going to be a problem at all, no one folded pre-flop. In Omaha High / Low you should only play about 20% of your hand, so already pre-flop the table was making .8( not folding like they should ) * 9 people * 20 hand per hour = 144 mistakes. Now it did not stop there, most everyone called all the way to the river and only folded then if they did not make there hand. Now 4 people ( that should not have been drawing ) * 2 streets * 20 hand per hour = 160 mistakes.
So the money situation
144 * 4 = 576 Pre flop
4*1*20 = 320 Flop
8*1*20 = 640 Turn
- 20*5 = -100 Rake
-2 * 2 * 20 = – 80 Dealer tip ( it is a split game so both winner tip )
= 1356 to be made from just the easy mistakes
Now your not going to get your share ( 1356 / 9 ) = 150 of that since you would have to play every hand like them, but you should be able to get
.8 * 9 * 2 hand per hour you play * 4 = 57.6
4 * 4 = 16 flop mistakes
4 * 8 = 32 turn mistakes
================================
105.6 per hour if your hands hold up and you scoop.
Realistically I would half that as you will often split and only win half the easy mistake money.
Within an hour I had tripled up, suffered a couple of bad beats and still left doubled up. There is not many players that know what they are doing in this game and it naturally induces a lot of action. Way more than is needed to cover the rake even at low limit games.
