Some important stats from my poker simulator; 500,000 rounds of Texas Holdem ran 9 handed all the way to the river. This chart gives you a good idea of the frequency of each rank of hand coming up and its % chance to be winning at show down.
| Hand type | % of hands | % of rounds won |
|---|---|---|
| High | 17.3985 | 0.00068 |
| Pair | 43.8053 | 9.3979 |
| Two Pair | 23.5204 | 24.5645 |
| Set | 4.8355 | 16.711 |
| Straight | 4.62103 | 20.0571 |
| Flush | 3.02518 | 13.4608 |
| Full House | 2.60143 | 14.2833 |
| Quads | 0.16906 | 1.32382 |
| Straight Flush | 0.0211133 | 0.1791 |
| Royal Flush | 0.00244667 | 0.02176 |
The above stats are very interesting and should be memorized but they can be a little misleading. For example only 13% of the hands are won by a flush, but that does not means if there is 3 flush cards on the board that only 13% of the time someone will have one. A poker player really also wants to know that given that the condition for a flush is meet what is the chance that someone at the table has that hand.
| Hand given the Condition | % Hand |
|---|---|
| Set when pair on board | 58.5993 |
| Straight when three continuous on board | 43.2499 |
| Straight when four continuous on board | 51.7196 |
| Flush when three suited on board | 73.4044 |
| Flush when four suited on board | 337.452 |
| Full House when pair on board | 25.2614 |
| Full House when set on board | 300.364 |
| Full House when two pair on board | 149.284 |
| Quad when pair on board | 0.960027 |
| Quad when set on board | 38.4517 |
Given the above example you can see that 9 handed if there is 3 suited cards on the board then it is not 13% chance that someone has a flush but a much higher 73%.
Hope these stats help you guys dominate the tables.
