Sit&Go Results from Sharkscope

This is my sit & go record from SharkScope, this site will let you look up 5 people a day for free from any poker room and it will give you graphs like this about their results.  Stay away from the ones making massive money, play every hand you can with the ones loosing lots of money as you can expect to double up from them.

The greatest love/hate things about online vs live games is the amount of information you can get about your game.  While this means you can improve your game with almost perfect information, so can you opponents.  Luckily the fish do not seem to take advantage of all the information that is around so all it really means is the good players are just getting better that much faster.

There is an interesting story here that may help people not make all my same mistakes.  It took me about 10 games to start figuring out the 1$ sit & goes and start making money.  About 10 games  ( 20 game mark ) after that I had doubled my money and decided I was going to be like all the other cool kids and play 4 tables at once.   For the next 20 games I just managed to break even, I sort of knew things were not going great, but until I looked here I did not realize how bad it really was.  The problem with 4 tables as once is it works in the early rounds, but if you make it down to more than one heads up showdown then your a little distracted and chance are you just blow both games.  I was not good enough yet to run two heads up battles.

Armed with this info at 45 games I dropped back to one cash game and one sit & go, that way if I got down to heads up I could just sit out in the cash game until it was over.  I started making money again right away.  At around 55 games I got impatient again and put in a second Sit & Go window, but this time I experimented with starting it two blind levels after the first one so that I would never have two heads up battles at the same time.  I eventually got that system working and around 65 games I started making money again.  That worked well for the next 100 games.

Then at game 150 I decided to move to the 5$ Sit & Goes at which point my game basically flat lines for the next 250 games.  After 75 games of a rough start I cut it down from 2 tables back to one table at around game 225 and that for awhile it helps.  But then at game 310 it starts dropping off again.  Sure the 5$ games are a little harder, but no were near this hard.  The only thing I can think of is about this time I had moved up in my cash games limits as well.  I was modifying my overall game to try and succeed in those higher cash games and it was leaking into my sit & go game.  Also that ofter cash game I had open was a lot harder now and required more attention, so I was kind of ignoring the sit & go since at the time it was only worth 5$ and the cash game was worth 100$.

You can not argue with that kind of evidence, turn off the cash games, back to one table and train my brain to beat the 5$ sit & goes before bringing back two tables and a cash game on the side.

Lesson learned.
